One of my favorite cookbooks is FIXATE by Autumn Calabrese. Autumn developed the 21 Day Fix nutrition plan, which is a super-simple, clean-eating, color-coded, portion-control plan. I personally use this plan and have been doing so for 2 years.
With this plan, you eat a certain number of containers each day. When making a recipe with lots of ingredients, figuring out the container equivalents can be a little tricky. FIXATE allows those following the plan to get a little fancier with their recipes and know all the container equivalents.
Some of my favorite recipes I’ve tried from the book so far are:
- Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup
- Toasted Kale Salad with Lemon Dijon Salad Dressing
- Chocolate Chip Cookies 🙂
I really enjoyed reading Autumn’s story at the beginning of the book, and it was inspiring to learn that Autumn once struggled with her weight. When looking at Autumn, it would be easy to assume she has always been fit as a fiddle, but that is not the case.
I love the fact that this book encourages clean eating and helps people see that healthy eating is easy and delicious.
