We all want our homes to be as healthy as possible for our families. In the past 7 years of this journey, I have learned a few tricks of the trade that I want to share with you.
1. Have a designated exercise area in your home
Many who are successful with maintaining their ideal weight do so by working out at home. Personally, my living room is my spot. All I have is a Smart TV, DVD player, fitness DVDs and streaming, dumb bells, and mats. When you have a place like this, it makes it very easy to have a habitual exercise routine. Just fire up a 22-minute workout, and you’re good to go. Nyet excuses. The family will even join in with you!
2. Buy a Tower Garden (or two)
People often wonder how I maintain my fitness and weight so seemingly effortlessly and continue to look young at 43. One of my secrets is Tower Garden. We’ve had our towers for about 2 years now and love them. What’s better than harvesting your organic and non-GMO food and putting it right onto your plate? If you want to grab one of these, I can give you the hookup because I have 2 friends who sell them.
3. Essential Oils
Before my wife started getting us into essential oils a few years ago, I had no idea what they were used for. Now I don’t know what they are not used for. There is pretty much an essential oil for everything. The most common way we use oils in our home is through diffusers (little machines that put the oil in the air and make the room smell good). We have a diffuser in each bedroom and one in the living room. Typically we diffuse a Health Defense oil, which is one of the reasons our kids rarely get sick.
4. Non-Toxic Personal Care Products
A good 6-7 years back, we decided to trash most of our Wally World personal care products and replace them with natural, organic versions. Your skin is your largest organic and anything you put on it will pretty much be absorbed into your bloodstream. Conventional personal care products contain hormone-disrupting chemicals that will not only inhibit your weight loss but also your health.
I hope these tips were helpful. Reach out to me with any questions and as always, share with others.
